Fortunately, the experienced, compassionate, and knowledgeable massage therapists have been taking care of me on a weekly basis since their founding. I first came into contact with BJ in April or May of 1997 as the result of being rear-ended in my truck; what made the whiplash symptoms I was experiencing even worse was my diagnosis of secondary progressive Multiple Sclerosis I received a short time before. not only was my pain level excruciating (I gave it an "11" out of a possible "10") but it seemed to really endure! BJ worked with me three times a week for several months, teaching me how to "breathe through the intense pain" as he seemingly untied the knots that my muscles had woven themselves into. Eventually, I was freed from the agony I had been experiencing! Fast forward to the opening of Bothell Integrated Health--I had the occasion to need their services again, only my MS was beginning to rob me of my ability to walk without assistance--in fact, it's almost as though I was slowly turning to stone! If it wasn't for a host of really talented LMP's who regularly stretched me and moved me in ways that I absolutely could not do myself, I shudder to imagine where I might be today! As it is, even though I rely on an electric wheelchair for mobility I would not be where I am today--still able to drive safely, able to still take a few steps (with assistance), able to live on my own without a live-in caregiver (so far), and able to bathe myself and do many things that we take for granted--I believe that NONE of that would be possible without BIH's care on my behalf. I don't feel that it is that much of a stretch to claim that I owe my continued independence to BJ, Patty, and a host of LMP's at Bothell Integrated Health; and that's the plain truth! I have been going to Kaufman Chiropractic for the past few years as well and they are great. They always seem to have time to fit me into their schedule. The doctors know their stuff and I feel so much better every time I leave. Also, I got custom made orthotics there -- 2 pairs actually and they have really made a huge difference in alleviating my back pain. My sciatica pain has vanished. I highly recommend Kaufman Chiropractic very highly to anyone seeking a state of the art chiropractor. Great article BJ!
